What CallVault is

A personal tool to record your own phone calls and optionally back them up to storage you control. It is provided for personal use.

Your responsibilities — recording laws

Laws on recording calls vary by country and situation. In some places you must inform, or get consent from, everyone on the call — especially before sharing a recording. You are solely responsible for using CallVault lawfully where you are, including telling other people when required. CallVault shows a live banner and a persistent notification whenever it records, but it does not announce the recording to the other party. This is general information, not legal advice.

Acceptable use

Use CallVault only for lawful purposes and only to record calls you are a party to. Do not use it to record others unlawfully, to harass anyone, or to violate anyone’s rights or privacy.

“As is”

Call recording depends on your device and Android version; on many phones the other party’s voice is only captured on speakerphone, and some calls may not record at all. CallVault is provided “as is”, without warranties, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted recording or backup.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including missed or lost recordings, or any consequences of recording or sharing a call.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
